Unassuming

unassuming
he sits in a corner
out of sight
out of mind
others are called
yet
he remains...

he waits patiently
longs for his name to be called
yet doesn't bug anyone
to ask when
his turn is next

I see him though
from my corner of the room
I see him sketchily through my tracking lens
making sure
nobody will leap out at me

I watch him
mr unassuming man
and realize
he is me.
