Donna Jones Poet Quatrain

Unanswered Prayers

Sometimes it takes the smallest things
Perhaps the music a songbird sings
Or the new growth of green and warmth every spring
To hear answered prayers angels bring

A firm handshake given from a friend
Concerned eyes that see and never pretend
A neighbor willing to lend a helping hand
Prayers answered the way God chose to send
