Unable To Fly

When I met you
I was like a wounded bird
You healed my wounds
with tender kisses
You strengthened my heart
by giving it love to nurish it
You fed me promises
eagerly I swallowed them
And just when I was able
to fly again
You battered my heart
Deepened my wounds
And then
You clipped my wings

Without scars there is no healing... Its what builds us into who we are and makes us stronger... living proof is me... btw I like Kelli with the "I".....Michael
