Beyond the waking, dreaming and deep sleep states,
is perfect brilliant stillness, as Self aflame,
the light that lights all lights, which never abates,
scriptures call Turiya but give it any name,
once abiding therein, we are not the same,
being the substratum on which all states play,
quintessence of our presence, which does not sway.
