Ulladu Narpadu Addendum 36

The world of names and forms shape shifts,
the substratum of which is Self,
so resting thought, whilst in repose,
our innate light reveals Itself.

The light of Self is the power,
by which mind is activated,
through which all illusions appear,
so let thoughts be decimated.

In a dark room we see nothing,
yet know for sure that we exist,
truth that needs no validation,
so why then do doubts yet persist?

In staid stillness the truth is known,
that we are in truth, living light
and resting in our being-ness,
we see Self in heart, in plain sight.

Self as consciousness is the truth,
being what we already are,
immediate and intimate,
shining brightly like the North Star.

In stillness consciousness expands,
but how can we be what we’re not,
so know we’re already the all,
recognised on making thought naught.
