Typical American Fairytale

A TYPICAL AMERICAN FAIRYTALE Whispered, hollow "I want you" s Screamed, haunted "I loved you" s Pleaded, remorseful "Please don't go" s Murmured, sad "I wish I didn't have to" s Pulled strings, hearts forced to dance Unfortunate words, slammed doors that won't open Forgiven things, never forgotten Once ripe love, now toxic and rotten Clutching hands, hidden bruises Envious glares, stabbing words Vicious tongues, bared souls Deadly heartbeats, gasping breaths Happily never after

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God bless you.
