Two years, 53 weeks and days of heartache

2026.01.24

On this day, two years ago,
I first met BB at his second home.
It took three months for him
To build some trust with me.
Once it kicked off, it lasted three months,
Before he ended our relationship unexpectedly.
During these time, strangely remarkeble things,
Happened on 24th of each month.
How expectedly our friendship also ended
On that specific day of the month.
On the bright side, he brought the best out of me,
We both loved music, simple healthy food
And fought for justice.
Everyday, he sat at the desk,
Surf on the internet,
Searched hard all the tragedies in the world,
And did his best to raise a voice of the matter.
He did that without leaving the desk,
And without being seen by any one.

He encouraged me to get a piano
Or a weighted keys keyboard.
I promised him one day
I would play him his favourite Asian song.
He longed and expected that to happen soon,
At my place on a cosy winter day.
Well, it has been eighteen months,
Everyone who never knew me,
Enjoyed my piano playing tremendously.
I reminded me a saying in life
"You can plan as much as you like,
It only happens when the time is right".
It would not happened in my life time.
It was faith we met, but it took more than that,
To keep our friendship last.
On 2024.4.24@4:30pm he wrote
"Well, personal relationships is my biggest tragedy"

Today, As I was on the way to Phillip Island,
At Grantville, the coach pulled up to its bus bay,
I saw a light golden kangaroo,
Laid still next to the gutter.
Had BB seen it, he would not be happy
For the rest of the day.

Almost twelve months later
On 2025.01.19, JC and I had been friend,
I introduced him to Philip Island,
A first trip for him to come here.
At Cowes, he enjoyed a meal and a beer.
While I glided and splashed in the seas.
Despite I requested JC to explore the tourist town,
He had indeed sneaked around.
After swimming and having lunch,
We strolled on the eastern beach.
Then we wrote a poem each of the trip.

It is today, Saturday 2026.01.24,
Two years ago, BB and I caught
The ferry to Saint Remo via Phillip Island,
And we boarded the coach home.
It was 53 weeks ago,
JC and I travelled by train and ferries to Cowes,
Strangely, I have come here,
Many times in my life time,
But only once with them at a time.
The weather was fine and warm,
The water was still and calm
My heart was cold as I was being .....
