Two Words

I close my eyes and look back,
always back...
to a time, a place,
to you...
I wonder about you,
often I wonder,
always you...
I loved you dearly,
only you...
love parted,
no one's fault,
just parted...
I longed for you daily,
each hour...
I looked for you nightly,
every night...
I called out for you,
strongly, loudly...
I never heard an answer,
never, ever...
I'll never forget you,
I'm certain...
I only have these words,
I'm sorry...
forever sorry.
