Two Trees
Outside
barely sublime
friendship still
holds
hands of branches
clasped
it’s cold
but enduring
its strength
encourages me
through the pane
Inside
angel, still
giggles atop
the winding garland
of silver; just
the right touch
why harass the boy
whose smothered
the fake pine
with so many
loving ornaments
