"two Shells"

Like two shells in the sand, we lay
as the tide comes in...
The water like our blanket exposes
a little more skin...
The grooves of this shell, as the water
lets us land..
We wake up to a sunrise with a
a smile holding hands..
We are tossed around this bay with
a flurry of warm waves...
These shells fit in eachother like two
spoons that won't behave..
Your's always has a pearl that keeps
our day so bright...
My shell is always empty until I'm thrown
back into your light...
