Two seasoned horses

I tuned into yesterday's presidential debate
where neither candidate came across great.
Two seasoned horses at the gate, one will
determine this country's fate.
Too many problems on our plate and they
began to argue about some thing innate..
The borders, inflation, and two wars in our
lap and these old blokes discussed which
golfer has the better handicap!!!

Dear Nancy, your boiled down the presidential debate with succinct poetic finesse. Your last line was a hole in one in highlighting the underwhelming finish to the debate! Warmest wishes my friend.. ~Susan

Dear Susan, It was a very disappointing debate and I don't think with those time lines established any one could have responded well, let alone two seasoned men. It's such a pleasure to hear from you Ms. Susan and hope all goes well in your neck of the world. Blessings to you..

You must be kidding. You really believe he had a cold and that’s why he can’t finish a thought or string a coherent sentence together? Has he had a cold for four years? There is a better option - a far better option, and he is the other guy on that podium who knows a thing or two about being President.

Hi Keith, In all fairness, one candidate had been ill and it probably should have been rescheduled. Also, has had the weight of the Presidency on his plate. I wish we had better options. Thanks for sharing your opinion and have a blessed day.
