Two Roses Blossom Where One Once Bloomed
The rose has died
A slow and painful death!
Poison has melted it through.
The weeds c r e p t ever tighter
R o u n d
To c h o k e
This delicate rose.
Left shriveled
And scarred,
The leaves are crisp
And the petals have
F a l l e n...
Is there no way
This rose could have been protected?
Finally,
The weeds have been detected!
Observing this d e a t h
Has brought
Great sorrow,
Great pain,
Has shattered this fragile heart!
But now they can be happier
Can start anew,
Yes,
Now that they're apart...
And what is it
This fragile heart observes?
Yes.
There is new growth!
T w o roses b l o s s o m
Where o n e once b l o o m e d.
So nothing's really doomed!
Yes.
Those two hearts
Have made new starts.
Now h a p p i n e s s fills their way.
They face the l i g h t of future
Purged of the darkness of yesterday.
Starting anew is what they've done
In the wake of separation.
And now the partnerships they have
Are b e t t e r than they ever imagined.
And this once broken,
Fragile heart
Can mend
No longer saddened.
