Two Roses

I got two roses on this dark night
My heart was full with delight
All seemed turned lovely bright

Blues and yellow lights in sight
Didn't hide the sparkle in my eye
Moreover, you got me all magnetized

My heart has been a little while dead
Flat line from continuous breaks and bled
Thus,"Be careful", my mind always said

Someday...
Yes, someday...

Enjoyed reading your work..Thanks for the visit..I was having trouble posting a poem so I did an imaginary poem to see if it would post and it did you know my "xxxx" poem..Then when I tried to post my real poem it would not post..I did get one to go through a litle while ago..I am glad that you got two roses so that your heart would be lifted..Sara

You are so sweet Olive, I read this out loud. I expressed it in a way, that made me enjoy the poem. Of course I had to read the poem twice. I wonder who got you and caught your googly eyes.... I'm glad your heart speaks to you, a cute little reminder... hugs.. Linda

If the right person gifts you with a single rose it becomes priceless. Any Rose will blush in the presence of your beautiful heart.

Yes one single rose will do.. Anyhow the thought is what count most... Loool we are on modern times but I really still am apt for the traditional way...

Lovely poem, but as Arthur says - you should have gotten two dozen, but sometimes one would be enough. thanks for sharing... Lucilla
