Two Parties

Is every politician just interested in cash
It seems their lives are all corrupt and filled with so much trash

Is it just two parties where they’re laughing deep inside
They voted their own paycheck in so they could take a ride

They spend all of our money quicker than we spend
Then they try to spend some more; it never seems to end

Even when they are voted out their paycheck’s still the same
They are rolling in the money and playing at the game

They don’t listen to the people or balance budgets now
All they want to do it tax and tax and feed that big fat cow

They write so many laws we can never keep them all
Now we feel like criminals lined up against the wall

Our privileges and rights are getting slowly snatched away
We’ll soon be owned by the government when they have their day

Most voters don’t cast votes at all, yet complain about their loss
They say the idiots voted for their new politician boss

Is it all some real sick joke or a well thought out devilish plot
I voted and I put my dollar in, but look at what I got

"There is only one party in the United States, the Property Party...and it has two right wings: Republican and Democrat. Republicans are a bit stupider, more rigid, more doctrinaire in their laissez-faire (leave it alone) capitalism than the Democrats, who are cuter, prettier, a bit more corrupt—until recently... and more willing than the Republicans to make small adjustments when the poor, the black, the anti-imperialists get out of hand. But, essentially, there is no difference between the two parties." Gore Vidal
