Two Little Dogs On a Winter's Day
Kublia burrows into the snow
eating it is he goes
A hop, a skip, another sloppy lick
Fun fun fun snow is such a kick
Genghis peers out the door
sniffs the air and wants no more
This cold white stuff is just too much
who could play outside in such
Kublia hobbles with short legs
his big paws into the snow digs
Kublia tracks have such to tell
yellow snow in its path reveal
Ghengis steps out and turns in
slowly he's out and softly walkin'
He sniffs the snow and then he sneezes
shaking off snowflakes that dance and teases
Kublia barks and jumps and bites
eating falling snowflakes with all his might
Dancing silly my doggie clown
winter fun always to be found
Genghis growls and turns around
a little Grinch the snow has found
He walks and slips and even slides
hurrying back to the warmth inside
Two little dogs on a winter's day
one hides inside the other out to play
They make me smile deep in my heart
may the joy they bring never depart.
