Two Faces
A crack in the mirror
One side loves her
The other hates her for what she did.
It’s ripping me apart,
These two faces in the mirror.
What should I do?
Should I chase her down?
Or let her go?
She broke my heart,
But still I love her.
I watch her disappear in a cloud of dust.
Something in me snaps.
I hop in my car and drive.
I want to leave my memories behind.
So I drive,
But still the memories remain,
Tearing me apart on the inside.
“How could I let her go?”
I ask myself.
“She doesn’t love me,
She never did”
I say to myself.
Have I gone crazy?
That I am to talk to myself?
I must have gone crazy.
And it all started
With a crack in the mirror.
