Two Eyes

Everyone is upset these days
Trump it seems
is being obscene
rude to Ukraine
some say is insane

but really, really?
now it matters?
not a peep about Genocide Joe
thousands of children
dead by bombs signed
by smirking American leaders

One eye is open
the other eye completely closed

What Russia does a little to Ukraine
USA does, times by thousands more
to a people whose land was stolen
silence
		utter silence

Colonialism, you still love it.

Duke Beaufort March 10, 2025 at 6:30 PM Arthur you're on target with this....I had written something with a bit of sarcasm more than a decade ago in response to the hysteria after terrorism surfaced in the US. People refuse to understand how blowback works and how our viciousness ultimately comes back to us. A suicide bomber can kill / Kamakazis did with a thrill / When innocents die / From our bombs on high / It's OK...we missed...so just chill
