Two Days Too Late

Failure: I am such an idiot. I am such a wuss. I allowed myself to fail Without a second glance. Excuses: I forgot it all. I never gave it a second thought. Told myself I would do it, And now it's too late to be done. Problems: I messed up somebody's life. I forgot what I promised I would do. I'm two days too late, It's all over now. Finished: What will I do now? I guess that remains to be seen. I will not give in to excuses. I will take my punishment Whatever it may be. Apologies: It's too late to say it. I failed, I messed up, I don't deserve to be forgiven, But I'm sorry anyway. Can you even look at me now? I don't think I deserve your trust.
