Twinkling Little Stars

TWINKLING LITTLE STARS

                 Why are there shining stars,
                 showing serenity,
twinkling twinkling arousing curiosity of children?

Imagery of poets wander in in wonder
                gazing on cluster of stars.
               Philosopher searches vastness of Universe
               seeking significance of infinite space
accommodating billions and billions of stars.
                 Science gives explanation of
birth and death of stars forming
billions of galaxies extending and expanding.

              Indian fairy tale tells,
each human being becomes a star after death,
sparkling and sending blessing to descendants.
              I stare at stars seeking,
which stars are sparkling in guise of
my Mom, Dad, Grandparents, cousins, relatives,
              my friends and close ones?

              I am also in queue.
Where shall I see my place in space,
              transforming to star transcending death?
              My ultimate destination.
