Twinkle, twinkle little star

Twinkle, twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are.
You're not a diamond in the sky;
They're earthly gems that people buy -
Crystals, sparkle, cool and icey,
Cheap ones, rhinestones,
Real ones, pricey.

If I could catch a falling star,
I wouldn't put it in my pocket,
But find a fine spun golden chain
And keep it in a locket.
I'd never fear the dark around,
But captivated, navigated,
Safe and sound.

Thank you but really a huge nod to everyone who have written about stars before - particularly Paul Vance and Lee Pockriss who wrote the Perry como hit when they wrote about putting it in your pocket. I have always felt a pocket is too casual for such a special gem.

' If I could catch a falling star, ' I think I would put it in a locket as well. : ) With all the darkness in this world, having a little more light to shine is a wonderful idea. My best to you, Rachel. : ) Hugs, Brandy

Thank you, Brandy. It blew my mind as a child when I realised the stars are in the sky in the daytime too, but maybe the night helps remind us that if we look up and out, we can see light is ever present even in the darkest times?
