Dear Jcb, your imagery is wonderful both in verse and shape. There's so much here to linger over.. this could be about a tree in autumn.. "old leaves falling one by on", or it could speak to the human aging process and those in the "twilight" of mortal life. A wonderful piece to ponder. Warmest wishes, my dear poet friend.. ~Susan

Omg how do you do those shapes? I bet they are easier to be done on laptop or computer than your phone! I absolutely love this! And iv never seen a twilight tree now i think that would be a perfect prompt too! I love the last line how it sounds and how creatively its done! " bittersweet retreat" big fave it is! Best wishes! Sending you light always
