Twilight Secrets

darkening dusk, fleeing into the night,
     freedom-bound, out of strangers' touch and sight,
          feathery thrumming, wings in gliding flight;

               leisurely inches up the crescent moon,
                     a sliver of silver-tinged sickle blade,
                           its pale light softly mowing every glade;

                                   and yonder early stars timidly wink
                                         through leafy boughs that seem distant yet close;
                                                 they twinkle twilight secrets no one else knows!

Beautiful. I love the delicate verbal music.

I love this! Into my favorites! It is almost euphoric as the magic of nature and night come together in your writing. Beautiful imagery. Smiles from Lolita
