Twilight Pensieri

Where will life take us tomorrow?
Could the twilight speak ease to the soul?
Can the firefly glow ease this sorrow?
Or will the darkness consume us whole?

"Could the twilight speak ease to the soul?"
You whisper as the breeze whips our hair,
"Or will the darkness consume us whole?"
We beg the coming dawn to take us somewhere

You whisper as the breeze whips our hair
Laying under the stars, we ponder all night
We beg the coming dawn to take us somewhere
Asking God with all of our might

Laying under the stars, we ponder all night
Can the firefly glow ease this sorrow?
Asking God with all of our might
Where will life take us tomorrow?

Fantastic pantoum, Juli-Michelle. I love using this form, and I particularly started reading your final stanza before reading the whole. Expertly done :)

I wrote my very first Pantoum the other day and I found it to be very difficult, though I was pleased with the outcome and it was you who introduced me to the form so it is nice to read another from you. This was wonderful Juli-Michelle. I like how the beginning wraps around to end the entire piece so nicely. Wonderfully written.
