Twilight Memory

I felt that my existence here
was becoming a distorted
twilight memory
and without a doubt
a terrible destiny.
Those who have a memory
are able to live
in the fragile
present moment.
Understanding the truth
is your only choice,
reclaiming a dark past
to build a brighter future.
Sometimes a moment
becomes a memory
the instant it’s happening
because it is so true,
so pure and so significant
you want to capture it forever.
