Twilight

Twilight is the time of day's dying,
when breezes have stopped all their sighing.
The sun's gone to bed,
the moon's up instead,
invading my room with its spying.

Twilight's the time between sunshine and dark, when joyous birdsong ascends from the park, the time when my cat lies out on the ledge, to bathe in the music that comes from the hedge, each melody brings sweet life to his heart.

Thanks so much. I have been experimenting, writing limericks on more serious subjects. I find it is a lot of fun.
