Twilight

After the hustle and bustle of a hectic day,
The sun slowly fades from the sky,
Twilight stands ready to usher in the night,
Getting ready to unveil itself
Into another starry array,
Solitude drifts in on the evening wind,
And lingers until the morning sun
And the start of a new day,
And in the stillness of the hour,
You can feel the presence of Gods power,
As you look toward heaven
And the awesome starry display.

Thank you for liking my poem my friend. I wrote it for a writers workshop that I am attending on Monday nights. I write what I feel in my heart, and I like painting pictures with words. Have you ever read Robert Hayden's Those Winter Sundays?
