                                                cultural revolution
                                              psychedelic evolution
                                        sporting polyester mini skirts
                                             spouting love, not war

                                                 rebellion sprouts
                                                   flower children

                                                    wonder years
                                                   rendered drugs
Beatles blew in, humming about yesterday
evening news, Cronkite summing war today
                                                     distant shores
                                                      scores dying

small, heroic Rosa sat in front
civil rights, King’s light, confronted klan
bullets break the heart of man
good die young, a president’s child...
                                    salutes goodbye -- nations cry

                                                one step on the moon
                                                      for mankind
                                                        into hope
                                                        ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

IT was a great era and I was happy to be one of the flower children in my colored clothes, long hair, wanting peace and love. Those were the days Carrie. Music from that era was fantastic. Nice to recall those magical days. love phyl

The 60's is probably the best one to do. It was QUITE an era, as you showed us here with this fine entry. Carrie. Nicely done!!(love the ending with the moon landing. I remember that day well)
