                                                cultural revolution 
                                              psychedelic evolution
                                        sporting polyester mini skirts
                                             spouting love, not war

                                                 rebellion sprouts 
                                                   flower children

                                                    wonder years
                                                   rendered drugs
                                    Beatles blew in,  humming about yesterday
                                   evening news, Cronkite summing war today
                                                     distant shores
                                                      scores dying

                                     small, heroic Rosa sat in front 
                               civil rights,  King’s light, confronted klan
                                    bullets break the heart of man                                                   
                                   good die young, a president’s child... 
                                    salutes goodbye   --   nations cry

                                                one step on the moon
                                                      for mankind
                                                        into hope
                                                        ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
