Twenty Four
Had I been given 24
24 hours, 24 minutes, 24 seconds.
To look into your eyes
With so much disguise
Only to tell you of your smiles
That took my day on a journey of many miles.
Had I been given 24
24 hours, 24 minutes, 24 seconds.
To bring you to a safe abode
Oh, you beautiful child of God
Talented and bold
Your hand I wish I could hold.
You swore to cherish every day.
How you managed to do so, I must say.
Living and praying to do right.
By His power and might, your inner light is bright.
Look below and you can see,
You’re an angel that goes beyond the seas.
For the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
He founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
Like water you swerved the scenes only to be known as SWERV
No wonder your absence hits every nerve.
But like in Psalm 24
CNU’s Captain # 24
Brian Hermann, you belong to God
Had I been given 24
24 hours, 24 minutes, 24 seconds
I’d cherish it all
In loving memory of Brian Herman CNU's #24
