Twenty Dollars
Was it counterfeit, or not?
Frankly, it doesn't matter; for video we got
One of darker hue, and four very light
No resistance displayed, yet day quickly turns to night
No fight, just wailing and pleading
America sits and witnesses an eight-minute lynching
Twenty dollars for a hue-man life
No compassion, just bitter strife
Humanity so distant and love so void
Haunting cries of our dear brother, George Floyd
Was it counterfeit, or not?
No need to question it; this is America and the black man's lot
