Twelve Days of Christmas From New York To Atlanta
Unconventional, perhaps, but hope you enjoy. I was on the radio in grade school and had the distinction of singing “five golden rings,” off pitch but cute because I was young. Think of Lucy Ricardo…lol.
TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS FROM NEW YORK TO ATLANTA
On the first day of Christmas
Mom and Dad gave to me
a Partridge Family song
On the second day of Christmas
My sisters gave to me
2 sweet suckers
On the third day of Christmas
My brother gave to me
3 games of scrabble
On the fourth day of Christmas
My true friends gave to me
4 ever memories
On the fifth day of Christmas
St. Peter’s gave to me
five golden rings
On the sixth day of Christmas
my boot camp gave to me
6 nights of real sleep
On the seventh day of Christmas
Virginia gave to me
7 sailors a-whistling
On the eighth day of Christmas
California gave to me
8 quakes with one birth
On the ninth day of Christmas
Hawaii gave to me
9 falls cascading
On the tenth day of Christmas
Virginia gave to me
10 cups of Brunswick stew
On the eleventh day of Christmas
Durham gave to me
11 waves of bull’s tail
On the twelfth day of Christmas
Atlanta gave to me
12 peaches in a cobbler
For all the states of Christmas
all my loves gave to me
12 peaches in a cobbler
11 waves of bull’s tail
10 cups of Brunswick stew
9 falls cascading
8 quakes with one birth
7 sailors a-whistling
6 nights of real sleep
five golden rings
4 ever memories
3 games of scrabble
2 sweet suckers
and
a Partridge Family song
