Twas the Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, an icy storm came about
Santa was landing, when there was a loud shout
He toppled out of the sleigh and hit his head
Then, “Happy Thanksgiving” could be heard from him instead!
Then, Santa dreamt Turkey were pulling his sled!
And that hunters were shooting at the leader turkey Ted!
Instead of “Ho, Ho, Ho”, “No! No! No! , could be heard!
Christmas was derailed with every single word
Thank God for Rudolph with his nose so very bright
Led Santa to the doctor on this wild stormy night
The doctor treated him with care so fast
Santa took off quickly with his head in a cast
But, little Johnny had not gone to sleep
He stood looking out his window without making a peep
When suddenly, he let out a curdling scream!
His parents thought he had another bad dream
“A ghost, a ghost” he yelled, pointing outside!
His parents rushed to look, “Oh my”, they replied!
Unrecognizable Santa, in his big head cast,
Was speeding by in the dark very fast
When suddenly, the cast came flying off on a tree
Then they could see, “It’s Santa”, they yelled with glee!
Thankfully, Santa was completely alright
The cast was just protection from another fall that night
Everything turned out as it was meant to be
Now, the cast is an ornament on that tree
