Turning Your Mourning To Joy - Jeremiah 31: 1-3

At God's specified appointed time
He shall be the God for all His own
coming upon their aid at their side
bring to fruit all the seed He's sown

Then God declared to be their God
confessing 'you are my people' He says
out of His deep love for His own elect
for God saw in eternity past all their days

His promises are all true and amen
for they shall indeed survive the sword
even in the wilderness, they'll find grace
the Lord will bring them their award

God's people seek for real rest
the Lord came for peace to appear
in this your mourning turns to joy
filling you afresh with God's holy fear

The love of God brims to the full
bringing such faith so everlasting
continuing forever God's faithfulness
this fills you joyful to long-lasting

(The Lord Will Turn Mourning to Joy
Jeremiah 31: 1-3 (ESV)
“At that time, declares the Lord, I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they shall be my people.”
Thus says the Lord:
“The people who survived the sword
    found grace in the wilderness;
when Israel sought for rest,
    the Lord appeared to him[a] from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
    therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.)
