Turning Twenty One

And then.... she turned twenty one. Moments in time flash through my mind since she became mine. Like a little pixie spreading fairy dust. Bursting with love and happiness. Tumbling curls framing her smile. All the while in tune with one another. Sleeping side by side or miles away. In each other's thoughts. And deeds. Similar habits and turn of phrase. I could forever gaze into her soul through those eyes. I love you my Precious, my Pudding, My honey bun. Rena's the one I'm thrilled to see turning twenty one. For Heidi Sands Love Poem contest.

Grits John?? I don't like the sound of them. Think I will stick with my good old-fashioned porraige. I never met such a frolicking fossil. You can poke my closet anytime. I had forgotten this little love letter. It is nice.

This title immediately caught my eye, because I recently turned 21 :) Has she read your beautiful poem for her? I love this so very much! <3

Yes Darren. I notice now she takes my poems more seriously as she is in her final year of study in English and Sociology in Dublin. When I read this out to her last night, she said to her boyfriend "I'm Mammy's favourite......and I think I'm Daddy's favourite too."

Thank you Jan. Big party here in the house on Saturday night. She's just arrived with her boyfriend and the other two will be here tomorrow. My ears are flapping in excitement.
