Turning Towards June

May is exhaling
her last anticipated breath
And turning her face
towards June
June, sweet June,
The perfect month
For all loves to be consumed

When all those who have loved
Become fast lovers
When separated twos
Pledge to become eternal ones
Come what may
Never to be undone
One always loves a lover

But this June
that will not be me
I am still waiting
still waiting to see
Waiting to see
What if any
my love will come to be

Oceans still stand
between us
And although our love
feels as full as star-filled skies
There is still no he and I
No he and I together
Under the star filled skies
Not this June
