Turn Me Not
turn me not over to the desires of Thy foes
make me over, take me over, show me the way to go
never forsake me nor leave me all alone
place me under the protection of Thy righteous throne
lead me not to my own understanding
let my thoughts be of what You are commanding
order my steps, set me on the path that is right
be my beacon of hope, my spiritual guiding light
remove from my heart the world's iniquity
and show me how to claim the victory
turn me not over to the desires that are of man
lead me higher onto Your Promised Land
to You I surrender my will and my ways
let the Holy Spirit take hold of me this day
teach me, preach to me and reach out to me Thy hands
give me a foundation of solid rock and not sinking sand
and when I stand on your sacred and higher ground
let Your grace, mercy and wisdom in me be found
turn me not over to the desires of worldly lust
with a mustard seed of faith in You I place my trust
no longer will I live in an atmosphere of negativity
I now speak life with a positive mentality
move me, soothe me and cover me with the comforter of life
then turn me over to the desires of my Lord Jesus Christ
