Turn and Walk Away

Life is a Maraicle in itself, embrace the morning with a cloudless mind. Turn away from
the past and hold on to the future. Night chills reminding my Exsistance that childhood
is fading. But I wanted to grab a toy, play like a children in a toy store. A sad distant
grin appeared upon my lips as I shuddered a trembling cry. This was supposed to be
forever, Mommies hand was always supposed to hold me. I missed that sense of forever, I
lost the fantasy of hope that a young child held. I now held a goblet filled with adult
longing, adult reasoning, and adult wisdom. My tired worn down lips were afraid to take a
sip, I wanted to cling to my adolescence for as long as I could taste. Taste filled with
nothing but bitter regrets of not fulfilling the saying of carpe deum. I looked at a
little girl in a daycare center , she had eyed filled with sadness. Depleted was her
soul. Everyday , every moment of her life controlled by dominant adults who abused their
power to fill their craving for obsessive compulsive disorders. They pulled her hair into
neat tight buns, she was only five but she knew she wanted her hair wild and free. They
had no idea how they had affected her and so I held her hand and whispered " Don't worry
I promise to never be like the ones who deny you freedom" she nodded but as I turned to
go a tear fell down her eyes and she said " You already are".
