Tulips

Tulips

Quietly
they stand
and tilt their
petaled heads
in search of
brightly lit
swirling light
and dream
of sun kissed
days.

Their thoughts
go up and meet
the rays with
hope of blooming
on this day.

First sign of spring
suspended for a moment
in the quiet of morning
and in secret recesses
of fertile soils.

Tulips whispering
Hope to the spring air,
We are here,
We are here,
We are here.

And delighted they are! I love tulips...my choice over roses.
