Tugging At My Heartstrings

A little bird came up to me
"Do you have a worm or three?'

A tiny worm I then did see
As my heartstrings tugged at me

I tried not to lie with all my might
But my simple 'No' came out just right

your poem certainly tugged at the heartstrings - a great reminder we still need to keep an eye on our feathered friends at this time of year:-) hugs Jan xx

I am seeing lots of robins and bluejays in my neighborhood now - this makes me think I need to restock our birdfeeder!(And I don't know anyone who walks around with worms in their pockets)

No worms in my buckets, though I have a few in the fishing bucket over there yonder... LOL. Thanks for the view and the comment, Michelle! ~ gw
