Tsunami Times

When hard times rain down on our loved ones; when trials need to be endured- they seem to come all at once. Wouldn’t you agree? I’d say this year I’ve been hit not just with a flood - but rather a tsunami. First gray clouds gathered. Then a huge wave rushed forth on our sweet safety shore - covering my family. Oh how I deplore my own painful conditions. Others seem to have burdens of the feeling kind. Around me I see those swallowed by tsunamis not just of grief but coupled with physical pain. How aren’t those burdens more than they can even bear? One day I will know the answers to my questions. I’ll be where only peace and joy flood over us

Andrea, you use the metaphor and images of the tsunami so effectively masterfully crafting them into your choka with such emotional impact that ends in a beautiful statement of faith and trust! I have a feeling this will be on the winners list! Sending you continued prayers and hugs with hopes that your rainy season will move on and let the sun shine again!

Good one. I enjoyed reading this one about how we can be overcome with problems but in the end we will more than survive. Got to go put together a pop-up pie. Sara

sorry you've had a rough go of it, andrea! i can certainly relate. it always seems so unfair to me that some people are hit so much harder than others with pain and suffering, but that's life, i suppose. your poem is excellent...

thanks so much, Ilene. My hubbie and I are going to look into oxygen beds for healing therapy. I keep trying different things. haha. Too bad the stuff covered by insurance doesn't work either.

As we overcome pain and suffering from natural disasters, we hope and pray, people will come out stronger than before.

I know this is quite personal for you, so it makes me sad. Suffering proliferates and will only get worse for a time, but I believe strongly in this future promise: Revelation 21:4
