Trying To Grasp the Wind

Trying To Grasp The wind. . My hearts long for desiring Mat never transpire to be But dwells in within The very deepest part of me For what I want is like the sweetest tasty apple Always there so close yet out of my reach For I am hungry for love And without the lavish feast . I often wonder what did I do wrong My natural urges beyond my control And so ever strong To never see my first born Look up and smile at me Is like a dagger I feel so painfully But never see . To never have a love so strong As a loving sweetheart Almost seems a sin I’m trying to reach for the impossible But foolishly Trying to grasp the wind. . Peter Dome©2020.
