Trying To Find Myself

I'm travelling my journey just trying to find myself Heart in one place, my mind's somewhere else Funny how the people who say they'll always be there never actually take the time to help I've been lost for a while I'm just trying to find myself I'm sat here with a brandy as I deal with my thoughts alone Love is a battlefield but I left my sword at home I showed a girl my heart and I'm regretting it now My armour is up and I'm not letting it down I'll be polite so let me say forget that blonde chick Maybe she was the right present just on the wrong list Or maybe she showed her true colours and she's two faced and heartless Because as soon as I made you feel safe you departed You just wanted someone to make you feel good When you were healed, you left and and didn't care that I had to sacrifice my blood Funny how I'm saying cheers to someone else as I drink about you Get a ache in my stomach whenever I think of you I've came too far to quit I've been hurt so much by love, I'm no longer willing to put my heart in it Some talk about falling in love, but you can't imagine how far I slipped Pushed in the deep end, forced to sink or swim when I was meant to be the one to guard the ship I'm travelling my journey and slowly starting to find myself She said she'd always be here but now she's somewhere else Said she'd never let me down, but she wouldn't take the time to help Thank you for breaking my heart, because it's helping me to find myself
