Trying Not To See Her Grief

the woman stood still in the rain holding a tissue paper flower no one ran over to see how she was doing, they already knew she had been on the news for days; her child was missing taken from a mall, snatched by a stranger or his daddy? she seemed smaller in person, more vulnerable, unapproachable in her grief, for her child was gone others carefully and gingerly walked around her, trying not to see her pain, loneliness, and sorrow

So hard to be in the presence of grief. No one can know…only that one who suffers. Even if two suffer together… smaller…vulnerable…unapproachable
