Trying Again One Final Time

If you and i are both willing

To thow all that we have to give
into the centre of the machine
spinning us apart

Then just maybe when all our
dirty sheets and laundry has
been aired and dried out

We can see if the stains have left
and gone and salvage what remains

And are willing to begin all over again
on clean new fresh bedding

And forevermore consign the past
to bed
