Try To Understand

You weren't nice.
Yet I tolerated it.
You ignored me.
Humiliated, I continued on.
I turned the other cheek.
I gave you multiple chances.
But you never once acted like a friend.

Try to understand
I cut the ties for a reason.
You just wanted to brag about the number of friends you have
But only a few mattered.

Try to understand
I am not some number.
Some person you could bend and twist.
I am a human
I do have some self respect.

Try to understand
That I just simply cannot be your friend.
