Try

An angel sat alongside a steep cliff unable to fly,
She sobbed because her wing was broken,
But, she had not bothered to try.

The angel sat there for days feeling sorry for herself and just cried,
Feeling helpless she did nothing,
Not once had she tried.

The angels sparkle was beginning to fade away,
She began to grow cold,
And began to pray.

The angel prayed for God to repair her wing so that she could fly,
She sat waiting for God to answer,
But, still she did not try.

The angel felt sorry for herself crying herself to sleep,
Her dreams were faded in her mind,
Seeing herself flying was the only memory from her dream she did keep.

The angel continued to wait for help as years passed on by,
She sat there growing angry,
And still did not try.

The angel began to blame everyone she could think of,
Her heart began to fill with hatred,
And it lost all of its love.

The angel felt abandoned as if nobody had ever cared at all,
Suddenly a huge gush of wind pushed her over the cliff,
And she began to fall.

The angel panicked and began to flap her wings so that she could fly,
She found herself gliding across the clouds,
All she ever had to do was to simply try.
