Truth Serum

Tell me Angel,
do you dream in heaven?
Do you have nightmares
of fairy tales before you are seven?

Tell me demon,
do you have fantasies
of beauty you live without?

Tell me priest,
because I'm confused
your beliefs don't meet your actions
and your actions leave me in disbelief.

Tell me lawyer,
Are you an Justice
really that blind?
and just how many pills Judge
are you going to need
to help you sleep tonight?

Tell me prophet,
Did I do anything right?
Did i confuse the truth with the lies
enough for the world to stand by my side?

Tell me detective
whose on "my" side?
The crime scene gets harder to cheat sheet every time

Tell me banker please
why am I always broke?
Interesting how my bills are calculated
in conjunction to my earnings
always leaving me short.

Tell me everyone
have i made up your mind?
Have you tired of your puppet?
one more time!

Tell me artist
who am I now?
and what am I being blackmailed for today?
In my suffering who have I made a saint?

Tell me God
Are you ready for your punishment
are you willing to admit to
everything that you did?
Couldn't help ourselves
our joy from your pain
forgotten again
so shed your skin and feed the fake

Tell me devil
does he even know what he did?
Are you ready for your punishment?

Tell me fate?
Do they know they are trapped?
do they even realise the foolish manipulation
or the different curses
all of us beings bear?
