Truth or pretend
They sing the songs of love to you.
Is it because they think or hope that you will love them too?
They promise that their trust is given to you.
In exchange of course they expect the same from you.
They laugh at your jokes and hear you out.
But did they really get the jokes and see your doubts?
They consider you to be one of them.
But was that requested by you by word or pen?
They expect your blood to bleed for them.
But no oath was sworn, no bond nor promise given in truth or pretend.
