Truth or Fault

It has often been said about confession,
That it is truly good for the soul ...
Yet I wonder if there's another purpose,
That one might claim has a different role.

This question comes about by denial,
Or when a false confession may be made.
Where instead of a good soul-cleansing,
We witness a fantasy, where truth is betrayed.

Once again, we see the boundaries of human experience,
Where the truth is just a door along the way.
While the imagination takes many right passed it ...
And creation can roam freely to play.
