truth is my healing

Truth is my healing.
       I sought righteousness,
                                   I prayed…
I’ve been waiting for this moment to come,
This time, I will not be afraid.

My innocence was robbed.
I was terrified of death sentence…
                                Wept my tears every night,
About bedtime stories turned to nightmares
           His memories, his existence…

Barred with fear for decades
I was scared to be chased…
I ran away from what haunts me
But I’m prisoner of my own truth
           That can’t be erased.

I was a prey every breakfast
           I was a taste of his cravings…
When my life became as sour as f***
My world turned upside down
           Grudges became my big savings.

Forced to be silent…
Now a force to be reckoned with
                      Truth is my healing…
Ultimately, I deserve a peace mind
           Unappalled and glowing.
