Truth In Today's World
In today’s world, truth eludes our grasp,
A slippery eel, evading our clasp.
Falsehoods abound, like whispers in the dark,
Leaving us skeptical, questioning each remark.
A chorus of voices, all claiming to be real
Who holds the key to authenticity’s gate?
The politician speaks with practiced grace,
Telling tales woven with a false embrace.
Promises flow like honey, sweet and profound,
But in reality, only empty echoes resound.
The media, too, dances its own waltz,
Selecting narratives, leaving truth at a loss.
Headlines blare, sparking fear and doubt,
Manipulating minds, twisting truth throughout.
Even friends and loved ones, with their words,
Can unknowingly, unintentionally blur
The line between fact and embellished tale,
Our trust eroded, the truth becomes frail.
Listen closely, beyond the clamor and strife of this world
For in the depths of our beings, truth we shall find,
Unveiling the secrets that lie beneath mankind.
